Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? We have the answers!

Where are you located?

4709 Yanceyville Rd, Browns Summit, NC 27412

What should I wear?

There is no dress code. Some people dress casually, others more traditionally. Come as you are; we want you to be comfortable.

What time is your service?

Our corporate worship begins at 10:30 am, but please consider joining us 10-15 minutes early to meet people and allow time to check in your children.

How do I become a member?

Membership begins with attending a membership class, where we explain our beliefs, ministry philosophy, and expectations. From there, we walk with you through the process intentionally and personally. Review our Church Membership page for detailed information.

How do I get connected?

The best way to get connected is to attend on Sundays, introduce yourself, and fill out a connection card. From there, we can help you take the next steps toward deeper involvement, including learning more about church membership.

How can i serve?

We believe serving in the church flows out of committed membership. For that reason, only covenant members in good standing serve in our ministries. The first step to using your gifts to edify the body is committing to the church through covenant membership, where mutual care, accountability, and service are shared.

Is there something for my kids?

We offer Redeemer Kids during the main service for children ages 0–5, providing age-appropriate teaching and care. Children are also always welcome to remain in the service with their families.

What is the service like?

Our Sunday Morning corporate worship emphasizes the ordinary means of grace: congregational singing, scripture readings, prayer, the ordinance of baptism, the Lord's Supper, and Christ-centered expositional preaching.

What is the preaching like?

We preach the Bible verse by verse and book by book. Our normal diet is expositional preaching, which means our preaching rightfully submits the shape and emphasis of the sermon to the shape and emphasis of the biblical text. We believe you’ll find in the pages of Scripture a compelling story that speaks clearly and powerfully to everyday life. You can listen to some of our most recent sermon audio on our Sermons page.

what is the music style?

The Bible informs, shapes, and directs our worship when we gather each week. From beginning to end, our services are ordered around God’s Word and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through our music, we aim to do two things: worship the Triune God and encourage one another with the truths of the gospel.

Scripture presents both of these vertical and horizontal aims for congregational singing. As Paul writes in Ephesians 5:18–19, we are called to sing “to the Lord” while also “addressing one another” with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. For that reason, we sing songs that are theologically rich, biblically faithful, and accessible to the whole congregation—songs that teach truth, stir affections, and help God’s Word dwell richly among us.

We intentionally order our music to promote congregational singing rather than performance. Our desire is that the primary sound on Sunday morning would be the voices of God’s people lifting praise together, not the musicians leading from the front. In all of this, our aim is simple: that Christ would be exalted, the church would be built up, and God would be glorified through Word-centered, gospel-shaped worship.
