Our Leadership
Meet the elders of Redeemer Church, devoted to leading with biblical wisdom, compassion, and a servant's heart. At Redeemer, we take church leadership seriously because God does. That means we're intentional about our structure: Christ is our head, elders provide leadership, and they are ultimately accountable to the congregation. We are led by a plurality of pastor-elders who understand their calling: they serve as workers for your joy (2 Corinthians 1:24). They invest themselves in the spiritual flourishing and eternal good of every person under their care.
The Bible clearly teaches that "elder" and "pastor" are synonymous terms for the same office. Elders are called to shepherd, teach, protect, and care for the church under Christ, the Chief Shepherd (1 Peter 5:1-4; Acts 20:28). Our elders serve with this aim as their guide: to proclaim Christ, warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that they may present everyone mature in Christ (Colossians 1:28-29).
How Our Elders Shepherd Redeemer
Lead the Sheep: Our elders provide spiritual oversight and direction, ensuring that Redeemer remains faithful to Christ and His Word in all we do (1 Peter 5:1-4).
Feed the Sheep: Through faithful preaching, teaching, and personal ministry of God's Word, our elders labor to present everyone mature in Christ (Colossians 1:28-29).
Protect the Sheep: Elders guard the congregation from false teaching and spiritual danger, keeping careful watch over the souls entrusted to their care (Acts 20:28-31).
Know the Sheep: Our elders pursue personal relationships with the members of Redeemer, shepherding each person with the care and attention their spiritual good and God's glory require (John 10:14).
